If your furniture looks cool, works well, moves easily & saves space...everybody's happier!
Chairs stack six high. Desks stack four high. Chairs stack on desks.
Intellect furniture is a personal study area. A computer workstation. A collaborative work environment. It’s light. Easily moved. And, adjacent surfaces create unbroken work areas.
Intellect chairs, desks and two-student tables come in four heights to support everyone from preschoolers to adults. Explore design options when you pick your colors for the elliptical frames, ABS hard plastic seats, backs and worksurfaces. Or add a durable laminate insert to the worksurface in a wide array of patterns and colors.
It adapts to your tasks.
Comfort curve – Relax. The comfort curve lets users
get closer to the work area and supports forearms
while working. The oversized writing surface provides
a generous 20”x 26” work area (20% more space than
conventional desks).
Pencil grooves – Keep writing tools in the groove, out
of the way, off the floor and easy to reach by both left
and right handers. Pencil grooves are recessed on both
sides of the worksurface to maximize valuable desktop
space. No matter how many books you move or how
many papers you shuffle across the workspace, your
writing tools stay put. (On conventional desks,
they wouldn’t.)
Removable, stackable book box – Store books. Pull
open for easy access. Use as a keyboard tray. Or, as
an easy-to-carry storage tote. Remove or re-install just
by lifting it over the stops. If you don’t want the book
box to move, screw it right into the desk rail.
Computer support (Optional) – Add the Intellect
sliding, non-handed mouse pad to convert any Intellect
book box into a keyboard tray.
Lightweight construction – Move it. Stack it.
Rearrange it. Intellect furniture weighs 20% less than
conventional thermoset hard plastic furnishings. Shhh.
ABS molded plastic is also quieter in the classroom.
It adjusts to your body.
Ergonomic seat handle – Grab the built-in handle
to move or lift the chair. You can even use it as a
book bag hanger.
Sculpted seat and back – Sit up and you can actually feel the extra lumbar support and cradling comfort that the Intellect seat and back provides.
Passive ergonomics – Lean up. Back. Forward. Over.
The seat and back flex as you move to enhance
comfort by relieving pressure points.
Waterfall edge – Sit comfortably for longer periods.
Intellect seats help your circulation by reducing the
pressure under your thighs.
Cantilevered base – Tuck your legs under the seat.
Stretch out. Cross your legs. Shuffle all you want. The
cantilevered base design gives generous legroom and
makes it easy to move around.
Sliding glides – Slide Intellect chairs or desks into
place. The front glides grip when stationary. The rear
glides give extra anti-tip stability. These non-marring
glides even protect your walls.
We took a long, hard look at
classroom furniture. Worked
with students. Teachers. Custodial
staff. And, administrators.
What did we confirm? That
school furniture has been pretty
much the same for nearly half a
century. That it’s boring, heavy,
cumbersome and uncomfortable.
So, we started all over again.
With a new kind of furniture
whose focus is in improving the
look and performance of today’s
educational facilities through
creativity and comfort.
The design is bold and clean,
but incredibly ergonomic; so
students can listen and work
comfortably for longer periods
of time.
Yet, it’s also unusually light
and easy to move. In fact,
it’s stackable. Adaptable.
Mix-and-matchable. There’s
nothing else like Intellect
furniture in the classroom today.
